Biographical / Historical

Leon H. Hinman was a master glassblower for 41 years at Cornell. He learned glass blowing at General Electric in Schenectady and came to Cornell as a lecturer's assistant in 1931. He worked in the Physics Department and then in the Laborator of Atomic and Solid State Physics until his retirement in 1972.
