Biographical / Historical

Neal D. Becker (Class of 1905), chairman of the Cornell Board of Trustees, presided at the dinner sponsored by the Economists ' National Committee on Monetary Policy in commemoration of Dr. Andrew D. White and in recognition of principles enunciated by him as fundamental to sound monetary systems, held at the University Club in New York, November 27, 1951. Winthrop Taylor (Class of 1907) and Frederick G. Shull (Class of 1907), Connecticut chairman of the Gold Standard League, were both speakers.
