Biographical / Historical

Cornell University Class of 1892, M.A. 1894. Babine worked as a cataloguer in the Cornell University Library, a librarian at Indiana University, and he founded and headed the Slavic Section in the Library of Congress in 1902. He returned to Russia in 1910, but came back to the U.S. and the Library of Congress in 1922.
