George Morland sketch
Scope and content
Pencil sketch of a dog drinking from a pond, and mounting board from which picture has come loose and on which Andrew D. White has written: "This sketch by George Morland (1763-1804) was given me by the late George Wansey Esq. I give it to my daughter Clara. Ithaca, Oct. 1904. A.D.W." The picture belonged to Andrew D. White. He gave it to his daughter, Clara Newberry, and she gave it to her aunt Emily Outwater. When Emily Outwater died, she left it to Mrs. John Winslow, who left it to her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Hirshfeld, who gave it to Cornell.
