Scope and content

The Cornell University Commencement planning records chronicle the operations of the Office of Commencement Events spanning the years 1974 to 2023. These records encompass a variety of materials, including working files, such as memoranda containing instructions for faculty Marshals and volunteer Ushers, seating charts for the ceremonies, correspondence, invitations, financial-related documents, photographs, and planning books, programs from various years, and regalia, such as graduation caps with tassels in various colors.
