Biographical / Historical

Professor of farm management, agricultural extension project leader. Charles Bratton received a B.S. from Ohio State in 1937 and received an M.S. in 1938 and a Ph.D. from Cornell in 1942. He was a graduate assistant in agricultural economics at Cornell, 1937-38 and 1939-42; an extension economist, 1938-39; an instructor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, 1942-43; a field artillery captain in World War II; professor of farm management in the New York State College of Agriculture at Cornell and an extension leader, 1946-79; and visiting professor at the University of the Philippines, 1952-53. C. A. Bratton died in 2000.
