Biographical / Historical
The Davella Mills Foundation was a charitable foundation established by David Bloss Mills in 1935; it was named for himself and his late wife, Ella C. Mills. David Mills died in 1944, after donating money to hospitals, churches, schools, and chapters of the YMCA and YWCA (Young Men's Christian Association and Young Women's Christian Association). By the time it was liquidated in 1955, the Foundation had donated $10,500,000 to charitable causes in the United States and 12 other countries.
Biographical / Historical
H. Lyford Cobb was the director of the Cornell United Religious Work endowment. Weyland Pfeiffer was the Vice President for University Development at Cornell. Stanley H. Hutchinson was the secretary of the Davella Mills Foundation.
