Biographical / Historical
In the 1930s, Bacteriology 212 (Bacteriological Literature) was a course taught by Professor Otto Rahn in the New York State College of Agriculture at Cornell University. In the spring of 1935, the students in the class became so interested in the study of the rise and fall of bacterial populations that they mimeographed a summary of each student's paper and compiled the summaries into a looseleaf volume.
