Biographical / Historical
Clark Hall, Cornell's physical sciences building, was the largest and most expensive structure ever built at Cornell at the time of its completion in 1965. Seven stories tall, it featured central air conditioning and elevators that ran from top to bottom of the building. Clark was dedicated on October 20, 1965. Dedication festivities included a symposium on "The Physical Sciences and the University" the dedication ceremony itself, and a panel discussion on "Who Sets Priorities for the Physical Sciences?".
