Scope and content

Pamphlets, photographs, and leaflets relating to Cornell University and the life sciences. Included are a 1926 Cornell wall calendar; Familiar views at Cornell University (circa 1920); Albert Hazen Wright's pamphlet Biology at Cornell University (1953); published poetry by James G. Needham and Liberty Hyde Bailey; a brief history of Cornell's Department of Entomology by Needham; and two issues of the Wells College bulletin (1963-1964). Also included is a printed abstract of Eleanor McMullen's dissertation, and an article she published in the Journal of morphology, titled The morphology of the aortic arches in four genera of plethodontid salamanders (May 1938). Photographs are of students and faculty (most of them identified) in the Departments of Entomology and Zoology, shown at the laboratory, in formal group photographs, and at social events.
