[Plans of proposed Cornell University buildings]
Scope and content
Plans and architectural renderings of various proposed campus buildings at Cornell that were never built, including dormitories, an assembly hall, a library, a library and museum building, a student apartment house (planned for Eddy Street in Collegetown), a faculty residence, and also a stone drinking fountain. Two of the drawings have comments by Andrew Dickson White written on them, including comments on a drawing for a library in which White recalls why the design was rejected and who opposed it. Architects include Charles Babcock, Wilcox & Porter, F.H. Moore, Russell Sturgis Jr., Nichols & Brown, and John Aller (designer of the fountain).
