Printed items from the early history of Cornell University, including pamphlets, newspaper articles about the University, tickets to public lectures given by faculty, and speeches. Includes a course catalog for the Cornell University Preparatory School (1878); a ticket to the University's first Commencement (July 1, 1869); President White's address to the students "in reply to certain attacks upon the institution" (May 4, 1883); early examinations in English, history, foreign languages, astronomy, and other subjects; and an invitation to the unveiling of the statue of Andrew Dickson White on campus (June 16, 1915).
