Scope and content
Records primarily of Cornell University's Committee on General Administration and also the Board of Trustees, consisting mainly of conspectuses (summaries of issues to be addressed) for meetings. Topics include the Law School, the Medical College, representation of faculty on the Board of Trustees, a proposal to limit the number of students, Delta Chi house, plans for the War Memorial and other buildings on West Campus, faculty appointments, purchases of land and buildings, and allocation of funds. Authors of the conspectuses or other documents and correspondence include Charles D. Bostwick, President Jacob Gould Schurman, and his successor Livingston Farrand.

Biographical / Historical
Charles D. Bostwick served as Assistant Treasurer of Cornell University in the early 1900s, and subsequently as Treasurer. During the 1920s he was the secretary of the Board of Trustees.
