Biographical / Historical

Beverly T. Galloway was an Assistant Secretary of the federal Department of Agriculture (USDA) when he was successfully recruited to become the Director of the New York State College of Agriculture at Cornell University. After two years at Cornell, he resigned for health reasons in 1916 and returned to the USDA. Jacob Gould Schurman was the President of Cornell from 1892-1920.
