Biographical / Historical

Johnson ("Ching") Henderson (Class of 1923) was suddenly taken ill and died in his first semester at Cornell University, in October 1919. He had excelled at track and baseball and was known for his sunny disposition. A photograph of him was subsequently hung in Schoellkopf Hall in commemoration of his brief athletic career at Cornell. His father, Dan L. Henderson, subsequently kept in touch with Johnson's former roommate, Charles Lovan.
