George Washington letter : to Henry Knox
Scope and content
Letter in which Washington comments on Massachusetts' acceptance of the new Constitution and discusses the political situation in France. With the original letter are a printed version of it from The Writings of George Washington, volume 29, and also a line-by-line comparison of the text of the original with that of the (heavily edited) published version.
