Biographical / Historical

The proposed Amendment 2 to the Colorado state constitution would have prohibited civil rights protection specifically for sexual minorities both in the present and in the future. Colorado voters approved the amendment in a referendum in 1992. However, in 1996 the U.S. Supreme Court struck it down as unconstitutional.
