Scope and content
Transcripts of two letters from W.E. Mapes in Evergreen, Long Island to W.H. Clark, dated February 14 and March 7, 1906, and transcript of a letter from David D. Osmun in Chester, New York to W.E. Mapes, dated April 29, 1892, concerning the Olive Branch Lodge of the Freemasons in Minisink, Orange County, New York. Following the Osmun letter is a copy of the bylaws of Oliver Branch Lodge No. 102, dated 1804, a list of the Lodge's members from 1804-1806, and a history of the Lodge by W.E. Mapes. Also included are a typewritten genealogy of the Mapes family from 1428-1787, and two pamphlets published by the Historical Society of Middletown and the Wallkill Precinct, Inc.: its certificate of incorporation and bylaws, and a brochure on its history.
