Scope and content

This collection contains financial records kept in pocket-size booklets, dating 1903-1910. The first booklet records eggs sold from December 1903-December 1904, and work done for various customers in 1904 in Savona, New York, including D. M. Collan, John Cook, Eugene Allen, Will Woodruff, J. E. Bedell, McGlocklin (i.e. McLaughlin?), Stinson, and Will Manning. The second booklet records work done at a creamery in 1908, and work done for a Mrs. McDowell, including writing a letter and making trips to Bath, New York from Savona. Also recorded are payments received from Lew Vogel and Rachel McDowell, 1908-1910; payments received from William Van Kuren and W. N. Shutts (i.e. Schutz?) for rent on a barn; amounts paid to Augusta Koon for taking care of Mary Lincoln; and taxes paid by Mrs. McDowell in 1908-1909. The third booklet is blank. All three booklets include many printed advertisements for medicines, ointments, and the Invalids' Hotel & Surgical Institute in Buffalo.
