Biographical / Historical
DeWitt Clinton was Governor of New York from 1817-1823 and 1825-1828. John Bliss graduated from Harvard University in 1808, and then served as an officer in the U.S. Army from the War of 1812 to 1837. George Clinton served as Governor of New York from 1777-1795 and 1801-1804.
