Scope and content
This scrapbook, compiled by Margaret Boynton Windsor, includes information pertaining to her time at Cornell University with items dated from 1891 to 1895. It includes information about her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, the trials women at the university faced, and items from her classes, such as syllabi, grades, entrance exams and tuition payments. It also includes items of social interest, such as football scorecards, playbills from concerts and plays preformed at the university, and an invitation to the opening of the library.

Biographical / Historical
Margaret Boynton Windsor, who passed away February 14, 1944 from coronary thrombosis, was born January 1, 1872 in Lockport, NY to parents Thomas Cabot Boynton and Martha Whipple Harwood Boynton. After graduating in 1891 she entered Cornell University, joined Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and graduated in June of 1895 from the college of liberal arts. After graduation she studied botany and entomology with John H. Comstock and Anna Comstock, with whom she became close friends. Next she taught at Northfield seminary, Mass., and then worked as an assistant in the office of an entomologist, where she met her husband. They moved to Texas after their marriage in 1902, where their three children were born. She was very active in the Cornell alumni club and many other organizations.
