Letter from W. J. Vescelius to Mr. O. R. Corbett, from Springfield, Massachusetts, July 23rd, 1878, stating that he cannot pay the debts of his brother (John L. E. Vescelius) because he lost his property before leaving Watkins (Glen), which he refers to as "that sink of iniquity." Also, a bill from Ezra A. Cook & Co., engravers, steam printers and lithographers, Chicago, to Rev. J. W. Raynor, June 12, 1875, evidently mainly for books.
