Scrapbook ontains ephemera relating to pamphlets on women undergraduate residential living including “So You’re A Cornell Coed” by the Women’s Self-Government Association, invitations to fraternity events, The Sherwoods at Cornell, Yale Weekend, Cornell University Theatre productions of Aristophanes: The Acharnians, Lambda Chi Alpha, Cornell University Cinema, Holiday Hockey Festival at Madison Square Garden, advertisements for films Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Blow-Up, Georgy Girl, 1969 Panhellenic Rush Book, Pi Beta Phi, a Bill Cosby magazine, NROTC, pressed flowers and corsages, valentines, Sage Chapel, a greeting card that threatens the reader will be turned into an ant if they pass by every social event at exam time, a parking violation, Dateline: Daily News at Radio City Music Hall, Peter, Paul & Mary concert, engagement announcements and greeting cards upon getting engaged her sophomore year, Schaefer Music Festival in Central Park, Cape Cod, The Station in Ithaca, a letter from Yale admitting Jane as a “Yale College Senior Wife” who could therefore enroll in Yale College courses, Jane’s time modelling for Ithaca Textiles, Ithaca Mohawk airplane service, The Guggenheim Museum, Danny’s Hide-A-Way, Man of La Mancha at Martin Beck Theater, The Great White Hope at Alvin Theatre, Turback’s restaurant in Ithaca, Yale Prom 1970, June and Dave’s wedding, 1972 Commencement, and a written narrative of her life at Cornell. Many of her letters back home from 1968-1972. Photographs include June moving into her Clara Dickson freshman dorm, backgrounded by her parents, gorges, eventual husband and Yale football player Dave Brooks, Dickson 5 freshman corridor, Pi Beta Phi 1968-1969, Valentines roses, Fall Creek, Yale Prom 1970, June and Dave’s wedding, her commencement. Includes information about Vietnam War, civil rights protests, and other political activism; the name change from Home Economics to Human Ecology; sports and social life; and Pi Beta Phi sorority.
