Scope and content
This collection contains a student scrapbook with clippings, programs, and memorabilia, as well as loose photographs, programs, letters, clippings and other memorabilia from the 1940s. The collection also contains a few photographs from 1995, including a picture with Jane Knauss Stevens and the Big Red Bears.

Biographical / Historical
Maxine Katz (Class of 1945) chaired the Cornell Victory Chest campaign and the Red Cross student drive in 1942-1943. She was also a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi and an editor of the Cornellian. In 2003, she was honored with the Frank H.T. Rhodes Exemplary Alumni Service Award for her strong leadership on behalf of Shoals Marine Laboratory (SML). She is a life member of the University Council, having served her first term from 1969 to 1973. She has served as the co-president of the Class of 1945 from 1995 to 2005 and was involved in the class's record-breaking 55th Reunion Campaign.
