Palm leaf manuscripts from Myanmar containing monastic rules of conduct. The first manuscript contains extracts from the Pali Vinaya, the monastic code of discipline, outlining rituals and observances of the Buddhistic monastic order. The extracts include: Kammavā (Kammavaca), Sut' path' meyya Atthakatha, Kankhā thika nissaya, and Zinattha pakāthani (Jinattha Pakasani), all circa 1800. The texts are followed by a commentary. The second manuscript, titled Bhikkhuni Vibhanga, consists of rules of conduct for nuns, dated 1772 (1134 according to the Burmese calendar). The third manuscript, titled Vibhan'" nissaya, consists of Buddhist monastic law, dated 1863 (Burmese year 1225). All three manuscripts were inscribed on palm leaves with a metal stylus.
