Scope and content

Two scrapbooks documenting the activities of the Cornell Liberal Club comprised of clippings of articles published in the Cornell Daily Sun, the Syracuse Post Standard, The Student Review, The Ithaca Journal News. Subjects include controversies over the ejection in Kentucky of delegates of the National Student League; compulsory R.O.T.C military training at Cornell University; coverage in the local press and material relating to the Secord Regional Conference of New York State Liberal Clubs under the auspices of the Cornell Liberal Club at Cornell University; anti-war and anti-militarist demonstrations; the activities and Congress of 1932 in Chicago of the National Committee for the Student Congress Against War; four postcards bearing anti-liberal sentiments addressed to the Cornell Anti-War Committee from anonymous fraternities; internal conflict within the club, 1932; breaking up of the May Day demonstration in Dewitt Park, and a program from the Cornell University Conference on War and Facism, 1934.
