Twenty 16x20" prints by photographer Bill Burke; 23 audiocassettes with interviews and ambient sound recorded by interviewer Joe Wood; a set of working logs of the tapes, created by the interviewer to outline contents of each recording; transcripts; book, LOCAL HEROES CHANGING AMERICA: INDIVISIBLE; slides of Ithaca photos, possibly including images not in the archival print collection; complete set of postcards from the traveling postcard version of the museum exhibition; 1 CD-ROM of the 2001 Indivisible Web site; 1 catalog of materials included in the Ithaca materials; and 1 catalog of materials available at the 2 main Indivisible archives at Duke and Arizona.

Biographical / Historical

Part of a national documentary project exploring community life and grassroots initiatives for social change in communities across America. Photographers, radio producers, and folklorists documented twelve civic ventures where community members worked towards a common goal. A project of the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University in partnership with the Center for Creative Photography, The University of Arizona. Funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
