Scrapbook of letters, primarily written during her time in France during World War I, clippings, pamphlets, and photographs relating to her medical work in France and in New York City; two photographs of her in her uniform; and a miniature edition of Dickens' Christmas Carol, which she had requested in one of the letters.

Biographical / Historical

Doctor. Jean H. Pattison graduated from Vassar College in 1911 and Cornell University Medical School in 1919. In 1918, she volunteered with the American Women's Hospital Unit No. 1, and served for four months in France during the summer of 1918. She practiced pediatrics in New York from 1921 until her retirement in 1953.
