Scope and content
The collection contains personal correspondence, military handbooks and information, broadcasts and speeches, clippings, magazine articles and photographs, and mementos relating to his interest in Korea and work there from 1945-1950. Subjects of correspondence include travel on United States transport ships, impressions of Japan, the economy of Korea, travels in Korea, Korean elections, Korean birthing customs, and American government affairs in Korea.
