Scope and content
The bulk of this collection consists of correspondence with colleagues, the Near East Foundation, students, and publishers concerning church and sociology conferences, book reviews, sociological studies, extension work, and applications for graduate school and positions at Cornell and elsewhere; also, MSS. notes and texts for sermons, lectures, speeches, and articles by Professor Anderson, who was also an ordained minister (1917); in addition, typescript and memeographed material pertaining to local civic groups including the Citizens for Good Education, Ithaca School Board Nominating Committee, Social Planning Council of Tompkins County, Tompkins County Senior Citizens Council, and Tompkins County Tuberculosis and Public Health Association.
