Biographical / Historical

Walter Cressler Heasley, Jr. graduated from Cornell in 1930. From 1939-1945 he was executive secretary of the Cornellian Council and Alumni Fund, then for a time was acting Provost during the absence of Arthur S. Adams. He returned to Cornell in 1952 as assistant to President Deane W. Malott. While at Cornell, Mr. Heasley was a varsity hurdler and a member of Chi Phi and Quill & Dagger. Two of his children also attended Cornell: Diane Weston Heasley Van Dyke '57, David Cressler Heasley '59, and a granddaughter, Heidi Katherine Heasley Ford '87.
