Biographical / Historical

Professor Emeritus in Communication, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. Phillips went from being an Instructor (1935), to Assistant Professor (1941), to Associate Professor (1944), to Professor (1955), retiring in 1968. Phillips was a founding member of a wine appreciation society in Ithaca that later became the American Wine Society.
