Biographical / Historical

Stephen J. "Doc" Roberts played on the Cornell polo team during his student years. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1938, he taught at the University of Kansas, and then returned to Cornell in 1942. He became a full professor in 1946, and was chairman of the Department of Large Animal Medicine, Obstetrics and Surgery, and coach of the Cornell polo team until his retirement in 1972.
