Biographical / Historical

A Methodist class was organized by Dr. William Hill in Eden during the winter of 1812-1913. In 1830 plans for building a meeting house were made and a lot was donated by John Hill. The church was officially incorporated and trustees were elected in 1831, the year the building was completed. Another building, begun in 1855 and completed in 1858, replaced the old building.
