Biographical / Historical
From its founding to ca. 1969 in the College of Home Economics today's College of Human Ecology, the department was called Household Economics and Management. From 1969 to 1977 it was known as the Department of Consumer Economics and Public Policy. After 1977 it changed to the Department of Consumer Economics and Housing and in 1998 it merged with the Department of Human Service Studies to become the Department of Policy Analysis and Management.
