Biographical / Historical

The Third Presbyterian Society, an offshoot of the Eddytown Society, was organized February 25, 1833. The church was also known as the Rock Stream Presbyterian Church. It wasn't until 1869 that a committee was appointed to draft a confession of faith. In 1864 the building was moved and used as a storehouse. A new church was built on the original site the same year.
