Biographical / Historical

In 1860 the Presbyterian Society of Fairville was established. Prior to the opening of the meeting house in 1862, the Presbyterian Society met in the old Methodist meeting house or in the village school or courthouse. The Presbyterian Church of Fairville was officially organized in 1866 with eighteen members. The church supported several religious groups, among them a Sunday school, Christian Endeavor Society, Ladies Aid Society, Missonary Society and Bible School.
