Biographical / Historical

Part of the congregation of St. Mary's Church was Irish Catholic and could not derive benefit from instruction, sermons, hymns, and prayers in the German language, so the bishop of Buffalo sent an Irish priest to serve them and St. Patrick's was formed. The foundation of the church was started in 1849 or 1850. At various times the congregation was served by the pastor of St. Mary's.
