Biographical / Historical

Sacred Heart Catholic Church was organized in 1850 with the church being built the same year. The congregation was predominately German speaking. A parochial school was built in 1853. A new organ was purchased for the church in 1869. An addition to the school was added in either 1870 or 1871. Funds for a new school building were collected from 1913-1921.
