Scope and content
Mimeographed copies of minutes and reports of hearings held by the Federal Milk Commission for the Middle States in 1917 to determine a "reasonable" price for milk in New York. Additional records include a draft report by the New York City Loose Milk Commission on the scientific, economic, and public health aspects of the sale of loose milk, with some newspaper clippings discussing the controversy (1931), and a record of testimony furnished by representatives of the Dairymen's League, New York State Milk Dealers Association, Sheffield Producers Association, and others for a hearing before the Joint Legislative Committee to Investigate Milk Distribution and the Cost of Milk (1932-1933).
