. Luykx received a B.S. from Cornell University, New York State College of Agriculture in 1953, with a major in biology. He received an M.A. in Agricultural Economics in 1958, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, with a major in Public Administration and minors in International Economics and Agricultural Policy and Economic Development, in 1962.
