Scope and Contents
Collection includes scrapbook, loose scrapbook pages, programs, news clippings, and additional ephemera of Adeline Carrie Kiep, Cornell University Class of 1905. Collection documents Kiep’s academic career and social life at Cornell. Notable items include programs for theatrical performances on- and off-campus. Cornell student productions include “The Rose and the Ring” (June 19, 1905); multiple productions of “The Cornell Masque” (1905-1910); “The Junior Stunt” (March 1, 1902); the Pittsburgh Orchestra in concert at Sibley Hall (December 11, 1905); programs for the Lyceum Theatre in Ithaca; and a program for the Belasco Theatre in New York City. Also present are programs for the Princeton-Cornell football game (October 29, 1904); Annual Regatta of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (June 28, 1904); Baccalaureate Services (June 18, 1905); Cornell University Commencement (June 22, 1905); Class Day Exercises (June 21, 1904); and programs for Vespers services in Sage Chapel (1904). Materials related to academics include a copy of the Cornell Student Handbook for 1903; a graduation fee receipt (1905); and exam questions for American History to 1789 (June 4, 1903). News clippings include articles from local Ithaca papers and the Cornell Daily Sun. Additional ephemera present include advertising; calling cards; dance cards; a handwritten note about Kiep; and a timetable for the Lackawanna Railroad.

Biographical / Historical
Adeline Carrie Kiep graduated from Cornell University in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While at Cornell, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the Junior Society, and the Raven and Serpent honor society. She was also the president of the Sage College Student Government Association.
