Scope and content

Letters from World War II servicemen in training centers, hospitals, and barracks in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and the Pacific, containing descriptions of life in camp and areas in which the soldiers were based, but consisting mainly of notes expressing gratitude to Mekeel and the Folks Back Home Committee of Ovid for mail, gift packages, and copies of the OVID GAZETTE. Also, Christmas cards from the servicemen, issues of various military newspapers, and other printed items pertaining to World War II.
