Includes a considerable amount of material concerning agricultural improvements and the development of a country estate; the business accounts and correspondence of Leonard C. Ball of Sherbrooke, and of Albert P. Ball of Stanstead; Leonard C. Ball's accounts and correspondence with the British American Land Company on land purchases and his agreement to furnish its settlers with necessaries; an agreement, accounts, and letters relating to the partnership of Williams C. Kimball and Leonard C. Ball in a general store in Elgin, Illinois.
