Scope and content

Manuscript copies of Hochbaum's published and unpublished novels and short stories, including Burning Arrows, her autobiography; The Deer, a semi-fictional account of Zina Dusenberry, a farmer who lived in Dusenberry Hollow, Dryden, New York, including an epilogue by Hochbaum's daughter, Elfrieda Pope Bestelmeyer; and other works. Also, 36 notebooks of Elfrieda Hochbaum (1913-54); photographs of Dusenberry family members; articles, including some concerning women's suffrage; and a microfilm of the novel Tristan in Catallus.
