Scope and content

Collection pertains to Gardner's interest in various New York seed growers organizations, including prospectus, incorporation certificate, by-laws, and minutes of the New York State Foundation Seed Stocks Cooperative, Inc., of which Gardner was the first president, also letters on its establishment, administration, finances, and activities; correspondence, records, and printed material relating to the New York Seed Improvement Cooperative Association, Inc., pertaining to meetings, finances, and seed experiments at the New York State College of Agriculture at Cornell University, and the Seed Growers' School there; and technical subjects. Also, items relating to the American Seed Trade Association, including correpondence, 1919, discussing admission of the Gardner Seed Company to the organization, and a speech Gardner delivered at an ASTA meeting in 1950.
