Scope and content

Bound typescript copies of excerpts from a diary kept by John Drake, Jr. of New Hamburg contain references to family matters, financial difficulties, imprisonment for debt, and local events; biographical and genealogical data on the Dearin, Drake, Flagler, and Graham families; and copies of four letters written by Drake in 1830 to Rev. Elphalet Price concerning his excommunication from the Presbyterian Church. Also, a pamphlet containing constitution and bylaws of the Pomona Grange, n.d., and a badge and ribbon from the New York State Grange, 1894.
