Scope and content

Sanford G. Lyon items include a two page manuscript history of the business activities of Sanford G. Lyon, Sr. and other members of his family, 1885-1937, written by Josephine Head Lyon in 1953, concerning the shipment of livestock, sale of hay, grain, coal, lumber, farm and building supplies, as well as Lyon's own brand of fertilizer. Also, newspaper clippings pertaining to Lyon's candidacy for the New York State Legislature, 1922-1924.

Scope and content

Malcolm G. Lyon papers include a baby book, with pictures, list of gifts, height and weight, etc., with congratulatory postcards and a letter from Boy Scout Camp, 1925; photograph album kept by Malcolm Lyon beginning in the 1920s with Aurora pictures, family pictures, 1929 Florida trip, New Hampshire tirp, Florida Military Academy, 1934 Ranger School, and 1936 graduation from Syracuse University; a small photograph album ("Snap Shots"), with 12 unidentified photographs, ca. 1920s; photograph album ("Snaps") with wooden cover and large mounted photographs, 1938-1941, Miami, 1940, Virginia Beach, and the 1939 World's Fair. Also report cards, 1925-1928; "Official Pictures: A Century of Progress - 1934, from the Chicago World's Fair; a color photograph of Malcolm and Louise Lyon, 1999 and a color photograph of Malcolm Lyon and John Trainer at the Bolles School Commencement, 2003
