Includes correspondence between Purcell and Etta Arntzen, and an article by Purcell entitled "1902 and the Gilded Age," which appeared in the March-April 1952 issue of NORTHWEST ARCHITECT, the official publication of the Minnesota Society of Architects. The article pertains to architectural education and Purcell's designs for Willard Straight Hall on the Cornell campus. Also, an article by Marc W.
