Also 30-7" reel to reel tapes: 19 of session: "U. S. University Involvement in Latin American Institutional Develpment"; 11 tapes of interviews with Jose Figueres, Galo Plaza Lasso, Luis Alberto Sanchez, German Arciniegas, Kalman Silvert, Juscelino Kubitschek, and Richard Schaull.

Biographical / Historical

Cornell University initiated the Latin American Year (CLAY), 1965-1966, to help develop American awareness of Latin America's strong points and of its problems. Scholars and others from Latin America and the U.S. participated in conferences, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, and other activities, resulting in several publications.
